why I shouldn't be allowed on planes, a memoir by me.

Welcome back! :) The past few days have felt like a dream and I cannot believe I am currently sitting in my Italian apartment blogging after an exciting day walking around this beautiful city and stumbling about the language I thought I knew so well. Needless to say, I require a lot of practice. While we're taking a much needed break from this afternoon's adventures, I thought I should bring you up to speed with what has happened and post my travelogue.

Friday Favorites .02

Hello again! As I head off to fly overseas I decided to base this week's favorite's around a few drinks that I'm currently obsessing over.

What's In My Bag, Carry On Edition

Hi there! As I will be leaving shortly to start my summer abroad I thought it would be fun to do a "What's In My Bag" Carry-On Edition. As you fellow travelers out there may know, your carry-on is basically your life-support for those few (or long drawn out) hours above the clouds. Packed with all the essentials to keep you entertained or in case (god forbid) your luggage gets lost. Naturally I am all too excited about this trip, and am in love with what I am carrying on board with me and knew I just had to share this with you. :)

Afternoon Tea Time .01

I've been nominated for the Liebster Award!!

You've read correctly! I've been nominated for the Leibster Award. Wow, this is all happening so fast! I never thought I would find myself nominated for anything having to do with my blog. First and foremost, I would like to thank the Academy and Blogger for hosting my obnoxiously obvious posts and for all my dedicated followers for sticking it out with me. Mom, Dad, Kayleigh, Kayla, Cara and that one random dude from Poland... I don't want to get emotional, but... but....   ILOVEYOUGUYS!

Friday Favorites .01

Hey guys! In the interest of keeping up with my blog on a more frequent basis, I've decided to post every Friday about what I've recently become a fan of. An ongoing list of my favorites, so to speak. If you've been living under a rock (my apologies to the seafaring starfish out there) and haven't noticed yet, it's summertime. Another, maybe not so obvious fact is that I am currently living in the early 90's/2000's. Circa the CD era. Essentially what this means is that I love CD's! I have some music on my phone, but I never buy music online and an aux cord is too hip for me. I'm weird and outdated at age 21, I know.

New Years Eve

This new Years Eve I had the pleasure of spending a night out on the town with my sister. I was beyond excited for it. One of my favorite parts of the night, however, was getting dressed. Such a typical thing to say, I know, but it's true! Nothing beats the grueling 5 hours of hair, makeup and making things just right to put you in the mood to nap-- I mean have fun! Because I was just so happy with how things turned out this NYE I've decided to share a few pictures of the night with you.

Exciting News!

Hello again! So lately I've been debating on when to release this news. I've hinted at it in my last post, but I wasn't sure what was too soon and what was waiting too long. What it really came down to was the fact that I am too excited to wait any longer! :) In a little less than two weeks I will be leaving for Genoa, Italy to study abroad for six weeks. I am so excited to be going abroad for the first time in my life and I wouldn't want my first time abroad to be anywhere but Italy!

Bells on Bells on Bells

Why hello again! Last we spoke fashion I was on a bow back kick. Well now I'm back with another staple Southern style I can't live without: the bell sleeve. What is a bell sleeve you may ask? Only the cutest detail on a dress or top to be invented! (cue the dramatics) I, once again, found out about this detail curtesy of my girl, SarahBelle. To say she's been a major influencer in my fashion choices is an understatement! But I digress.
