Newest Obsession in Skin Care -- Remington Facial Cleansing Brush

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! I seriously cannot believe July is already under way. This summer has been flying by and August 1st is creeping up faster than I would like! I don't know about you, but between the stress of moving, the heat of the sun, and sweating all. of. the. time. my skin has been through a lot this summer. Thankfully, I've been gifted the Remington Facial Cleansing Brush and it is seriously saving my skin! Every time I use it it's like a mini spa day and my skin instantly feels better. We all know that once I start obsessing over something I have to tell you all about it! So today, I'm bringing you a tutorial for the Remington Facial Cleansing Brush.

Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Remington. The Remington Facial Cleansing Brush was gifted to me for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

First thing's first, this facial cleansing brush is beyond easy to use. Why? you may ask.
-Three different speed settings at the click of a button
The center button activates three different speeds. So depending on your skin type or the amount of cleansing you think your face
needs, you can change accordingly. God only knows there are days my skin needs all of the deep cleaning it can get!

Those led lights, though!

-Pauses built in to the cleanser for when you should transition to the next section of your face
It literally tells you when your skin is good to go and you need to move on. How much easier can it get?!

How To Use Your Remington Facial Cleansing Brush
1. Remove as much makeup from your face as possible
This may seem counter intuitive, but if you want the deepest clean, start with as much makeup off as possible.
2. Choose your desired speed: 1 (normal), 2 (faster), 3 (fastest)
On days when I've been sweating in the sun or after a long night working, I usually bump up the speed.
3. Clean in sections
Honestly, you can clean your face however you'd like, but the timer within the cleanser is based off of the different sections of you face: forehead, left side, right side. If you use the cleanser with the different sections in mind, your face will get a more even clean.

**Pro tip: If you're in the mood to take your spa day up a whole other level, the messaging head of the Cleansing Brush is a 10/10! Your girl is forever trying to stay away from wrinkles and the messaging head definitely relaxing the muscles in my face.

I've been in the market for a brush like this for a while now and my search is now complete! Be sure to routinely wash your brush (duh) and always wait for your brush to fully dry before putting it back on the charger. Overall, this cleansing brush really hit it out of the park for me. Not only is it great for every day use, but now you can have a spa day whenever you want. #winning

Summer Bucket List 2k16 Revisited

Welcome back, everyone! If you follow me on any social media (Pinterest especially, wow), you've noticed that I'm crazy about Fall. I seriously can't wait for it to start. Just thinking about all of the things I want to do this fall makes me want to jump out of my chair and get to work! I've been putting off revisiting my summer bucket list, though, because I still feel like there were so many more things I wanted to accomplish. This summer flew by! Everyone's been saying it lately, but it is still undeniably true. So today, I'm bringing you my Summer 2k16 Bucket List Revisited.  Enjoy!

Summer 2k16 Bucket List: Revisited
1. go to a concert
I went to a tailgate for the first time and saw Florida Georgia Line with some friends. I honestly did realize the amount of people who show up for a tailgate and the amount of people who don't even come for the actual concert. Like, wow, people sure know how to have a good time. Definitely a success!
2. go kayaking
FINALLY! Guys, I was so excited to go kayaking. It was a lot more physical work than I was expecting. Partially because I stopped the boat every time I tried to turn... but it was still a lot of fun!
3. go boating
I went deep sea fishing for the first time! Now, while I seriously thought I was going to die on the boat ride out to sea and had to sit for the first hour staring at the island so I didn't vomit, once I got my sea legs I was standing on the edge of the boat and caught my first ever fish! I don't know if our captain was just getting a rise out of me, but apparently, it's good luck to kiss your first fish, so that's what I did!

4. go on a road trip
18 hours down to Hilton Head Island was quite the trip. It was supposed to be a lot shorter than that, but we made a few wrong turns here and there. Next time, we'll probably fly!
5. try hot yoga
6. try any type of yoga
Monday, August 8th, 2016: Yoga in the Park
Every Monday and Saturday during the summer, there's yoga in a park right by me. My friend Cara and I went and it was a lot of fun--sweaty, but fun and relaxing.
7. write a letter to 18 year old me
8. wake up an hour earlier
Surprisingly, I did a decent job of this! I used to be the worst at waking up. Now, I'm certainly not a morning person yet, but I'm working on it.
9. have coffee in a local shop
Thursday, July 14th, 2016: Big Dog Cafe
   Saturday, August 6th, 2016: CommonPlace
My newest favorite thing to do is drink coffee in a local coffee shop! Don't get me wrong, I love Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, but there's just something about a unique coffee shop and a beautifully crafted cappuccino.

10. go for a bike ride
This summer, when my family went down to Hilton Head Island for a week, my little sister and I went bike riding along the beach. It was exactly what you would imagine. So calm and peaceful. We also rode by ponds swarming with alligators. A few were a little too close for comfort!
11. go for a bike ride with my boyfriend
12. have a picnic
13. go to a festival
Sunday, June 12th, 2016: Pittsburgh Arts Festival
We saw a lot of unique, local art shops and grabbed all their business cards. Once this girl has a little bit more spending money and an apartment to furnish, she has a bunch of places to check out.
14. go to a beach/the ocean
Hilton Head Island is so beautiful! 10/10 would recommend.

15. have a bonfire
16. watch a sunset
17. watch a sunrise
18. go to an amusement park
So, this one I didn't technically accomplish, but my boyfriend has had tickets for Kennywood all summer. We've just decided to wait to go during their Fright Nights around Halloween. This Bucket List Item will be transferred to my fall list!
19. go to a water park
20. go on a scavenger hunt
21. visit Phipps
22. go for a hike
23. swim in a river in the middle of nowhere
24. watch fireworks
25. stargaze
26. go to the zoo
Saturday, July 16th, 2016: Pittsburgh Zoo
My dad and little sister surprised me one Saturday and we all went to the zoo. Definitely a fun day!
27. write a handwritten note and send it to someone
28. lay in a hammock and read a book
29. visit an aquarium
Saturday, July 16th, 2016: PPG Aquarium
Wow, I love fish. and sharks. and any aquatic! This was super cool for me!
30. go thrifting
I wasn't able to make it as big of an adventure as I wanted to, but I went thrifting with a few friends of mine in search of the right jeans to create our high waisted shorts, but we just couldn't find any that worked for us. Next time!
31. make high waisted shorts from thrifted jeans
32. sign up for a race
33. host a bake-off
34. see a summer blockbuster
Monday, June 27th, 2016: Finding Dory
35. go to a barbecue
36. go to a baseball game
Tuesday, June 21st, 2016: Pirates vs Giants
Friday, July 8th, 2016: Pirates vs Cubs
I love going to baseball games in the summer! It's such a classic, summer sport. I'm not a huge fan of sports in general, but I love going to these! Can't wait for next year :)

37. have a water ballon fight
38. have a Netflix marathon during a thunderstorm
I've gotten through so many tv shows this summer! It's the perfect thing to do with the sun goes down and you're not tryna blow all of your money at the bar. And yes, there was plenty of rain involved.
39. eat an obnoxious amount of Dave and Andy's
     Monday July 25th, 2016
So I clearly didn't mark the date of every time I did something on my bucket list because I definitely got ice cream more than once this summer. Dave & Andy's is so clutch in the summer when all the students are gone. My favorite flavors were black raspberry and kahlua. mmmm.
40. eat gelato!
41. go camping
42. go to a drive-in movie theatre
43. learn how to swing dance
44. brunch at least every other week
Sunday, June 12th, 2016: Waffles INCaffeinated
Sunday, June 26th, 2016: Crepes Parisiennes
Once again, I definitely didn't mark down every time we went to brunch because I can think of 3 other brunch dates off the top of my head. I don't know about you guys, but brunch is my favorite. You seriously can't get much better than that.

I definitely knew starting off that I wouldn't be able to accomplish every single item on my list. I mean, it is quite extensive. But it was a lot of fun making it and it really held me accountable. Every day that I could do something I wanted to go on an adventure. And now, I have a bunch of leftover ideas for next year or even this fall! I've heard drive in movies are best during the fall because the bugs are gone. I can't wait to write that list! Be on the look out for that and many other Fall related posts! Until then,

RoseWholesale Crochet Detailed Dress

Hey, all and welcome back to my lovely blog! If you saw my last IG post, you know that I've been crazy busy this past weekend. I feel like I barely had time to sleep! Thankfully, though, I was able to take some time to capture this adorable outfit!

It's no secret that I'm hella excited for fall! I may have ran yesterday in 86-degree heat, but I'm in such a fall state of mind. I can't stop pinning everything from pumpkins to flannels to secluded country lanes with gorgeous changing leaves. Just writing this makes me want to run and jump into a pile of leaves! I love this particular spot because you can just see the beginnings of fall--a slight changing of the top leaves. This was the perfect backdrop for my RoseWholesale dress.

*Disclaimer: This dress was gifted to me by RoseWholesale in return for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This outfit perfectly mimics the season right now. Not quite fall, but starting to get there. This adorable white dress screams summer on its own, but when paired with the burgundy flannel, suddenly there's a sense of fall. Can we talk about the detailing for a second here?? The crochet neckline and running details are so unique! This dress will definitely be a staple of mine this fall.

My Trip to the Strip District

Hey, everyone! Can I be the first to say that I have no idea where August went or this entire summer for that matter! I feel like there are so many things I want to get accomplished and no time to get them done. On the bright side, though, I have a lot of exciting collaborations coming up. I've been playing around with a bunch of different outfits and styles and I can't wait to bring them to you!

The last time we spoke I was telling you all about this adorable outfit. Off the shoulder crop tops and pom shorts-- is there anything cuter?? I mean, probably, to be honest. But as far as outfits go, this is the tops! What I didn't tell you during that post, though, was the amazing night I had in between photo shoots.

The Strip District in Pittsburgh is such an interesting place. There are so many unique shops, markets, and eateries. This trip was only the second time I had been there and I can't believe it took me so long to get back there! One of my favorite things lately is trying out new, off the beaten path coffee shops. Don't get me wrong, I love Starbucks. 100%! But as much as I love a good Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato, I love the vibes of a non chain coffee shop. Each one has a unique spin on the typical coffee shop experience. Each one an adventure in itself. I could sit in a coffee shop for hours, blogging away and be perfectly content!

Besides the overwhelming feeling of future adventures, there were two stops on the trip that stood out to me as places I want to highlight..

Grandpa Joe's Candy
The first is called Grandpa Joe's Candy. Imagine all of the candy your grandparents used to bring whenever they came over your house or the candy they always had stocked on hand when you came to visit. Now multiply that by 50 and that's Grandpa Joe's Candy store! I walked in and wanted to put up a tent in the corner. Now, granted, I would have gone into sugar shock in a half hour, but the amount of colorful candies was so enticing! Everywhere I looked there were walls and walls filled with vintage and modern candy. Anything you can think of this shop has! 100% worth the trip.

Bar Marco
If you're looking for a killer happy hour, this is the place to go. This Italian restaurant features a small list of happy hour drinks to choose from, but don't be disappointed. If you don't find something on the list to your liking, the bartender has got your back. Simply tell him a list of flavors and a type of alcohol that you like and he creates a drink based on that description. They're extremely accommodating. And their food looks stunning! I haven't gotten the chance to try it yet, but I was so excited to see focaccia on the menu! When I studied abroad in Italy that was definitely a favorite of mine. This restaurant is a chic slice of Italy in little old Pittsburgh. Oh, did I mention there are wine bottles decorating the walls? **swoon

On top of all the excitement that has been the last few weeks, recently my guest post on Remington Ready was published. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your work up on someone's page. I can write whatever my little heart desires on my page, but for someone else to believe in me was just so inspiring and humbling. Definitely a step in the right direction!! Check in out here. :)

Also, before I forget (because God knows I'm good at forgetting), shout out to Morgan K, the winner of my CaseApp giveaway! Thank you to everyone who participated. Until next time...

Floral Print Zaful Dress

Happy Thursday! It's just about the end of the week, and I couldn't be more excited. I know it's only four days in, but I've already been hard at work with my August Goals. I only have four episodes left until the final episode of Gossip Girl and I'm both excited and sad for it to be over. I've been watching this show on and off for five years (yes, it's crazy it's taken me five years to finish this series). In other news, I was so ecstatic to receive this package in the mail and I'm here to tell you all about it. Today I'm bringing to you my latest collaboration with  Zaful

*Disclaimer: Zaful gifted me the dress and sunglasses in return for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Shop the look: Dress / Sunglasses

I am low-key obsessed with this company. If I could buy all of the pieces on their site, I would! They're all so chic and modern. This adorable, round collar, a-line dress immediately stood out to me and I knew I had to have it. The back has the perfect amount of cutouts, but the front is still conservative. I also have the worst time finding dresses in the right length for me. Most dresses, even if they're supposed to be short, fall way too long on me. This dress is perfect, though. I can't tell you how excited I was about this find. This dress would be great if you're attending any last minute weddings. And, guys... it's twirl-worthy. That's what I call the perfect dress!

While on their site, I also snagged up these two glasses. I've been dying to get my hands on a pair of statement sunglasses this summer and these are exactly what I was looking for. Their sharp, gold edges give a crisp look to any outfit and I just love how reflective they can be!

Shop the look: Black and Gold / Pink and Gold

If you like what you saw, be sure to check them out and fall in love just as hard as I have!

Top 5 Favorite Bloggers

Hi all! I feel like every time I write there's always a whirl wind of things going on. Life is crazy sometimes. Scratch that-- all of the time. Earlier this week, I had two interviews scheduled and a lot of my time was taken up with prep work and dealing with the aftermath of those interviews. "Aftermath??" you may be thinking. Yes, aftermath.

It was all very dramatic and my poor roommate had to listen to me very curtly argue with a difficult recruiter that attempted to convince me that "$12 an hour was a good salary". She was trying to take advantage of the wrong girl! I did all my research and knew exactly what was a fair market value salary for that position with my experience and the number was WAY more than the meager $12 an hour. I was actually able to take matters into my own hands and negotiate with the firm myself (instead of going through the agency) and to her surprise they were willing to raise the salary. Unfortunately, it was still not what I was looking for, so I had to turn down the offer. Moral of the story, do not use staffing agencies to find a job! Even if it's to supplement your own job hunt. They only have their bottom line in mind and will say whatever they can to devalue your worth and experience. Lesson learned!

As a result, I've honestly been feeling a little uninspired and stressed (to say the least). I've definitely been lagging in the blogging department lately. I did have a 'Yinzerita' for the first time last night to celebrate my victory over the agency and my strong conviction to stick to up for myself in the face of the mean 'real world'. I'm getting off topic. Oops!

But as a result of my lack of inspiration, today's post is going to be about my top 5 favorite bloggers to go to for inspiration. Ladies who I can visit this blog and have 15 new ideas bustling around my head in no time flat! I've come across all of these bloggers through different Facebook groups and immediately become obsessed! I hope you find as much inspiration and enjoyment from them as I do!

I've been following this lovely lady on Instagram for a while now, and her makeup photos are always so stunning! Putting on makeup is one of my favorite things to do. I like to think I have my routine down pretty well, but her makeup is phenomenal! Her pictures are so inspiring. I want to immediately run to my makeup bag and start experimenting. Her blog is just as inspiring, too!
I've only recently been introduced to this blogger, but her style is right up my alley. Very clean cut and always so adorable! Her every day style matches right up with my own. I'm allll about that shirt dress! And how adorable are those sandals?!
Coffee with Summer is one of those blogs I can visit for really anything. I love all of her posts about blogging. I've been blogging for two years now, but I feel like there are so many aspects I still have to learn about. Summer always has helpful tips. I know what I'm reading is quality information that will help me tackle whatever aspect of blogging I'm tying to figure out. And don't even get me started on her 'wedding' posts! The flower accents on her chairs and the darling 'find the key to your seat' idea?!? Wow. I'm tryna get married just to have a wedding as amazing as hers!

This amazing blogger brings tips and inspiration about how to survive as a Millennial, because, lets be honest, we could all use as much advise to help us navigate the 'real world'. My favorite series she does is her "Inspiring Millennial Series". I first watched this series when it featured Stephanie O'Connell and was hooked!  Stephanie is an actress turned financial blogger living in NYC. During this episode, they talked a lot about what it was like for Stephanie to go from being a broke actress in NYC to writing her own book, "The Broke and Beautiful Life, and becoming a kick-ass entrepreneur! I love how honest and insightful all of Rachel's posts are. They seriously give me so much to think about and ways to improve my own life! 10/10. Hands down!

Twenties Girl Style
If you want a look into what future, financially stable Rachel will look like once she gets a full-time job, her wardrobe and blog will look pretty similar to Ashley's! All of her pieces are exactly what I would purchase if my wallet loved me. Every time I visit her page I have to immediately fight the urge to start online shopping. It's truly a terrible urge to fight. If you want to know the latest, affordable trends and spot on ways to style outfits, visit her page!

This is by far not a comprehensive list of all the blogs I'm currently obsessing over. Lets be honest, there are just so many and I spend an obnoxious amount of time reading blogs and obsessing over bloggers that this list would stretch for MILES if I included everyone. So let me know who your favorite bloggers are in the comment below! Until next time.
