Spring Sundress in Brooklyn

Happy Memorial Day weekend! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend full of plenty of rest + relaxation. We had a little rain in NYC today but it's shaping up to be bright and sunny from here on out. Hoping to even escape for a bike ride around Brooklyn at some point.

Last weekend, after a very anxiety filled internal debate, I rode a city bike to my sister's place in the Upper East Side (where we responsibly distanced in their backyard). It was a bit of a trek, but since then I've been itching to see what other parts of the city I can explore on two wheels. (Pro Tip: Lyft makes it so easy to rent city bikes. It takes something like 30 seconds from start to finish. Wild.) After being cooped up for two months now, we've been trying to find responsible ways to still enjoy the city and get out for a bit.

Which leads me to today's post! A few weekends ago, on a gloriously sunny afternoon, we set out to take advantage of the only outdoor space we have: The fire escape.  I mistakenly referred to this as our "balcony" during a book club meeting -- if only. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'd still like to add an outdoor cushion or something to make reading out there a bit comfier, but for now it's a good spot to get in a few chapters, have an impromptu photo shoot or simply hangout.

I snagged this adorable sundress from TJMaxx right before my sister's bachelorette trip in Napa (more on that soon), but was able to find it for you here! It's supposed to hit at mid-length, but at 5.1 it hits me where a normal maxi should. I still love the look, but something to keep in mind you decide to pick it up.

Anywho, as I'm sure you guessed, I had no where special to go that day. But simply dressing up and getting fresh air made for a lovely afternoon.

What are you doing to keep quarantine interesting?

Rose Wholesale Black Bohemian Dress + Lace Up Heals

Hey, everyone! Today is hump day, and I hope you're excited to be halfway through the work week! Tonight I'm having a movie night with my littles and we're going to start Stranger Things. I've heard only great things about this show, so I can't wait to start it! I do also get nightmares easily, (oops) so we'll see where this little adventure takes me. Anywho! Today I am bringing to you the second outfit I received from Rose Wholesale. (Be sure to check out my first post here!)

*These items were given to me by Rose Wholesale in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wow, am I crazy about this dress! When I first saw it on Rose Wholesale's site my mouth dropped. This dress is seriously stunning. The attention to detail in the pattern, the fit, and the comfort all give this dress a huge A+! This pattern and color palette is also perfect for fall. It's another great transition piece from RWS. It can be worn during the hotter temperatures because of the light material, but once things start to cool down, it can easily be worn with tights, a jacket and a scarf for a perfect date night outfit.

God knows I can't talk about this outfit without mentioning these shoes. I mean, wow. These black lace up heals are so fierce! I've always wanted a pair of lace up shoes and this were such a good find. The fabric is suade, so it works well with the fall season, but still has the peep toe and cut out sides to allow breathing room on those hotter days.

These shoes paired with this dress give a sexy, yet modest feel. Not to tight, not too revealing, but still bold and in control. Both of these can always be dressed down, too, which is a huge plus for me!

I know I said this in the last RWS post, but I'm crazy about their site. It's super easy to navigate and they have a ton of options. I could spend hours glossing over the adorable shirts, comfy sweaters and killer shoes! And their clothing is hella affordable! Be sure to check out their pages below. :)

So I know this is the part where I usually wrap things up, but I wanted to give a huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who read and/or commented on my post yesterday. I was so taken aback by the overwhelming support. To say this has been something I've been struggling with for a while now would be an understatement, but knowing I have the support of my readers, as well as my friends and family really means the world to me. You all are the best and this blog would be nowhere without you. <3

Okay, okay, enough sap on my part! :) See you next time.

RoseWholesale Crochet Detailed Dress

Hey, all and welcome back to my lovely blog! If you saw my last IG post, you know that I've been crazy busy this past weekend. I feel like I barely had time to sleep! Thankfully, though, I was able to take some time to capture this adorable outfit!

It's no secret that I'm hella excited for fall! I may have ran yesterday in 86-degree heat, but I'm in such a fall state of mind. I can't stop pinning everything from pumpkins to flannels to secluded country lanes with gorgeous changing leaves. Just writing this makes me want to run and jump into a pile of leaves! I love this particular spot because you can just see the beginnings of fall--a slight changing of the top leaves. This was the perfect backdrop for my RoseWholesale dress.

This outfit perfectly mimics the season right now. Not quite fall, but starting to get there. This adorable white dress screams summer on its own, but when paired with the burgundy flannel, suddenly there's a sense of fall. Can we talk about the detailing for a second here?? The crochet neckline and running details are so unique! This dress will definitely be a staple of mine this fall.

Floral Print Zaful Dress

Happy Thursday! It's just about the end of the week, and I couldn't be more excited. I know it's only four days in, but I've already been hard at work with my August Goals. I only have four episodes left until the final episode of Gossip Girl and I'm both excited and sad for it to be over. I've been watching this show on and off for five years (yes, it's crazy it's taken me five years to finish this series). In other news, I was so ecstatic to receive this package in the mail and I'm here to tell you all about it. Today I'm bringing to you my latest collaboration with  Zaful

*Disclaimer: Zaful gifted me the dress and sunglasses in return for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Shop the look: Dress / Sunglasses

I am low-key obsessed with this company. If I could buy all of the pieces on their site, I would! They're all so chic and modern. This adorable, round collar, a-line dress immediately stood out to me and I knew I had to have it. The back has the perfect amount of cutouts, but the front is still conservative. I also have the worst time finding dresses in the right length for me. Most dresses, even if they're supposed to be short, fall way too long on me. This dress is perfect, though. I can't tell you how excited I was about this find. This dress would be great if you're attending any last minute weddings. And, guys... it's twirl-worthy. That's what I call the perfect dress!

While on their site, I also snagged up these two glasses. I've been dying to get my hands on a pair of statement sunglasses this summer and these are exactly what I was looking for. Their sharp, gold edges give a crisp look to any outfit and I just love how reflective they can be!

Shop the look: Black and Gold / Pink and Gold

If you like what you saw, be sure to check them out and fall in love just as hard as I have!
