but first, brunch

Hey everyone! I don't know about you, but yesterday was such an eventful day. Not only did the Pens win the Stanley Cup and the Tony's steal my heart, but I was also able to cross off a very important bucket list item! As those of you who read last week's post know (click here to catch up!), this summer I have decided to make a bucket list of all of the things I want to do. The last, and arguably the most important item on the list, has been completed!

Brunch. Wow. The most important meal of all time. The event that makes getting through the week a little more bearable. Brunch is my favorite. You see, breakfast foods are my weakness! However, I am the worst morning person ever, so I either skip breakfast altogether, or settle for a carb filled bagel to start my day. Not exactly glamourous. But brunch is glamorous... in every sense possible! You don't have to wake up in the morning to eat it. In fact, you can drag your lazy butt out of bed at 11:00 and still have plenty of time to brunch!

(cue choir of angels singing)

So, this weekend my boyfriend and I decided to venture to Waffles INCaffeinated. If you're from Pittsburgh, this small diner is no stranger to you. It's a hot spot on the weekend and during the school year it is not surprising to have a waffle filled insta. ((blessed.)) As much as I had heard of this magical place and seen all of their delicious waffles, I had never ventured there myself. shocking, i know. But yesterday was the first of many beautiful brunch experiences and I can't believe it took me four years living in Pittsburgh to try this place out!

I started off with a delicious cappuccino and finished with a monster size Megaberry waffle, complete with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, whipped cream and powdered sugar on top. WOW. So good! This darling diner not only has savory and sweet waffles, but also omelets, crepes and other breakfast platters. Seriously, whatever you're craving this place probably has it! The wait is usually quite long, so be prepared to wait. Today, Mason and I hopped onto NoWait and got on the list before we even left the house. That way, by the time we got there, our table was ready! It was such a smart idea!

So whether you're in Pittsburgh for the weekend, or have lived here all your life, this place is definitely worth the visit! I would love to know your favorite places to brunch and your favorite thing to eat for brunch! So be sure to leave those in the comments below! As always, be sure to follow me out in the social media world if you like what you see and don't forget to subscribe to see more of my summer fun! Until next time,

xoxo,

  7. I love brunch and this place sounds great. I prefer Saturday brunch because Sundays I often work. Plus I can take a nap on Saturday afterwards when I nap on Sundays it makes it so hard for me to go to sleep at night.

    1. I usually go for savory, too! Eggs Benedict is my FAVORITE. It's typically my go-to but since the place had waffles in the title, I figured I should switch it up this time. :)
